High School Night

On June 7th we will hold our annual High School Night.   This is the beginning of the high school application process and attendance by 7th grade parents is mandatory.

Yesterday the Upper School held our 2010 Spring Concert.  On behalf of the staff I would like to extend our appreciation for all the parents who were able to help out.  Also the students were amazing and pictures from the concert should be on the school website shortly.

Spring Concert and High School Night

On June 7th the Middle School will be hosting a High School Night for the seventh grade parents.  This is a mandatory meeting for all 7th grade parents as we start the high school application process.  If you have any questions please contact me at schoi@mustardseedschool.org or Mr. Lawrence at glawrence@mustardseedschool.org

The Upper School Spring Concert is next week!  If you haven't marked your calendar do so now, it will be held at St. Josephs at 7PM on May 24.  We hope to see all the parents there.

DNA Lab Field Trip (May 26th)

The Middle School will be going to Cold Springs for our final field trip of the year.  We are ending Science this year with a study on Genetics and this field trip will be the culmination of all that we have learned.

Literature Exhibitions (June 10)

Students have been working hard with Miss Rupke on this final exhibition.  They are required to compare two books on various comprehensive levels.  Please take note on what day the exhibition will be on and try and attend if possible.

Spring Concert is just around the corner (Tuesday May 25 at 7 PM) Today students were given sign up sheets so parents can volunteer.  Please fill out the information and return it to the office.  If you have any questions please call the office at 201-653-5548.

The Intrepid and Carnegie Hall

This coming week we have two exciting field trips.  

On Thursday April 29th, the middle school will go to the Intrepid.  We will have a guided tour as well as a workshop to stimulate our minds (and hearing from students who have gone already, it should be fun as well.)

Next Wednesday on Cinco de Mayo the middle school will once again make a trip to Carnegie Hall.  This time we will be listening to music of Mexico, a unit they have been studying in their music class.

I just have to say how exciting it is to live in an area where such great field trips are available merely minutes away.  Please talk to your children about these trips and engage them in conversations about what they have taken away from going to these places.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break!  We are now in our last term, it's unbelievable how fast this year has zipped by.  The last ten weeks are filled with field trips, events and exhibitions.
